Snoring are treatable.

Snoring is a form of sleeping disorders that should not be overlooked. It might cause you serious health problems. There are two types of snoring:

Habitual Snoring
This type causes a loud grunting noise while the snorer is asleep. This group has only a slight symptom of obstructive sleep apnea. The snoring stops when the snorer wakes up and turns over. The most harmful result of simple snoring is causing irritation for the spouse or family members. It will not affect the snorer’s overall health.

Snoring with sleep apnea?
This kind is caused by a narrow airway passage. Patients in this group are inconsistent in their snoring.. The sound of snoring might be low at first, but grows louder in deeper sleep, often with loud snort or chocking sound. When the airway is blocked, breathing may stop.

The dangers of untreated sleep apnea:
1. It disrupts nighttime rest, resulting in sleepiness during the daytime, One might lose the ability to study or work effectively. Many workplace and car accidents are caused by severe sleepiness.

2. It can cause a loss of concentration, reduce memorization abilities, and leads to an increase in moodiness and irritability.

and ischemic heart disease. These diseases lead to an untimely death in some cases.

4. It can cause erectile dysfunction or impotence.

Procedure for analysis of snoring and apnea
1. Our snoring specialists will thoroughly check patients?ear-nose-throat passages from the nostrils, the nasal cavity, behind the oral cavity, the soft palate, and the tongue base to find defects.
2. A special diagnosis in a reclined position with the use of a “flexible fiber-optic laryngoscope? The instrument will be inserted in from a nostril to examine behind the nasal cavity, soft palate, and tongue base.
3. Using an X-ray to find the narrowest spot in the upper respiratory passage that might cause an apnea.
4. Sleep test, or Polysomnography. This test will examine your sleep cycles and how it relates with heart and brain activities. It will measure:
>> The heart activities through its electrical waves, blood pressure, and the amount of oxygen in artery.
>> Brain waves (EEG) during the deepest sleep to monitor signs of apnea and sleeping quality.
>> Breathing rate and frequency and period of apneas.
>> Prevalence and loudness of the snoring sound
The test will occur at our sleep center A specially trained health care provider will directly observe patients during their 6 -8 hour sleep at the center.

How to cure snoring?
1. Control your weight.
2. Exercise to strengthen your body’s muscles.
3. Improve your sleep posture. Switch to sleeping on your side and avoid lying on your back because it will exacerbate snoring problem.
4. Avoid consumption of alcohol, sleeping pills, of tranquilizers before sleeping.
5. If you have critical symptoms, you can choose these medical cures or treatments:

>> Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
To keep your airway open during sleep, a machine at your beside blows pressurized air into a mask that you wear over your nose of face. This method gives the best result for most patients.
>> Radiofrequency treatment
Radio frequencies are used to stimulate the soft palate and tongue base, causing it to contract.
>> Surgery
Increases the size of your airway by surgically removing tissues or correcting abnormalities.

Aside from proper exercise , remember to keep moving during the day. Take the stairs instead of the lift. Squeeze your abdomen and buttocks as you’re waiting for the traffic light. Walk everywhere you can.

You need energy to get along in your daily life, as well as. To engage in a healthy amount of exercise.Not eating enough will only leave you feeling drained ,irritable,and can lead to long and short term medical problems. Don’t dip down below 1,200 calories per day.A diet plan that’s too low in calories will actually make it harder for you to lose weight,since your metabolism will slow down as your body attempts to conserve energy. It’s also essential that you eat breakfast since it fuels you for the day and you’ll be less likely to stuff yourself during lunch. Eat what you want (but do try to stay away from cake,ice cream, and junk food.) but do watch your portions. For example,eat half of what your order and take the other half home.
